Frequently asked questions

You get 30 scans in your first month, then 15 each month after that.
Yes. Moolo reads each line item and cleans up cryptic abbreviations into clear, searchable names, sorts them into categories, and captures the store, date, taxes, and total.
Sometimes. Moolo uses AI to read receipts, and AI can misread an item or a price, so it is worth a quick glance. Moolo checks the item prices against the receipt total to catch math errors, and you can edit anything in a tap before saving.
Yes. You can search and filter your saved receipt history to find purchases and receipts.
On your device, not on our servers. There are no accounts and no cloud storage, so your saved receipts and photos stay on your phone. To read a receipt, its photo is sent to OpenAI to transcribe and the item names to Anthropic to tidy up, both through our own server, which holds the API keys but does not store the image or the extracted data. The finished receipt is then saved only on your device.
Yes. Users can remove receipts and locally stored data through the available controls in the app.
Optional cloud backup is planned as a future feature. It will be opt-in, so you choose whether your receipts are backed up. For now, they're stored only on your device.
